CFL's Davis Alexander and Tyson Philpot Named Week 9 Top Performers

Quarterback Davis Alexander and wide receiver Tyson Philpot of the Montreal Alouettes were honored as the Canadian Football League's Top Performers for Week 9. Alexander earned the distinction for the fourth time this season, completing 22 of 30 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns, and helped Montreal defeat the Ottawa REDBLACKS 34‑13. He leads the CFL with 2,788 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes.

Philpot, named third for the week, became the fastest Canadian receiver to reach 1,000 yards, doing so in just eight games. He posted 64 receptions for 1,023 yards, recorded his fifth 100‑yard game of the season and added four receiving touchdowns. The weekly honors were selected by a panel from the CFL's Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.
