CFR Călători increases train capacity for August holidays

CFR Călători is deploying its full technical transport capacity to meet increased passenger demand surrounding the August 15 holidays, which include the Dormition of the Mother of God and Romanian Navy Day.

To manage the surge, the company will operationally adapt capacity by adding extra carriages to high-demand routes. This specifically targets travel to major pilgrimage centers for religious services and tourist destinations along the Black Sea coast for summer holiday travelers.

To prevent overcrowding, the company advises passengers to purchase tickets in advance, travel outside of peak hours when possible, and check schedules before departing. Tickets can be acquired online, via the mobile app, at station vending machines, or through ticket offices and travel agencies.
