CFR Cluj adapts to Antonio Folha's new tactics ahead of new season

CFR Cluj captain Mario Camora said the team is in an adjustment phase after Portuguese coach Antonio Folha introduced a different playing system. Camora noted the influx of new players and the need for them to gel, stressing that no injuries occurred during the recent summer friendlies.

The club has completed two pre‑season matches in Slovenia – a 2‑1 win over Neftçi Baku and a 1‑1 draw with Olimpija Ljubljana – while training at a camp in the country. The side will debut in Romania's Liga 1 on 18 July away to Oțelul Galați and will also face a Conference League preliminary round against the winner of the Alashkert (Armenia) / Yelimay Semey (Kazakhstan) tie.

Camora concluded that “we are getting better physically and tactically, even though many aspects still need work.”
