CFR Cluj generates 2.25 million euro profit from summer transfers

CFR Cluj has concluded the summer transfer window with a profit of approximately 2.25 million euros. This financial gain comes as the club navigates a difficult period characterized by insolvency proceedings.

To balance its financial situation, the club sold several key starters. Notable departures include Meriton Korenica to FCSB for 600,000 euros, Tidiane Keita to Ordabasy for 500,000 euros, and Matei Ilie to Kasimpaşa for 500,000 euros. Other sales included Leo Bolgado (350,000 euros), Aly Abeid (300,000 euros), and Marian Huja (250,000 euros).

In response to these departures, coach Marius Șumudică requested reinforcements. The club completed 10 new signings on the final day of the transfer window, most of whom arrived as free agents or for minimal fees.
