CG Power posts record Q1 FY27 revenue as order book expands 45%
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited reported its strongest first‑quarter results for FY2026‑27, with standalone sales up 16% year‑on‑year to INR 3,061 crore and profit after tax rising 27% to INR 364 crore. The company’s unexecuted order backlog grew 45% to INR 17,333 crore, giving multi‑quarter revenue visibility. Sales in the Power Systems segment surged 31% to INR 1,402 crore, while the Industrial Systems segment posted a 6% rise to INR 1,671 crore. Margins improved, though a one‑time INR 20 crore provision in the railways business affected profitability.
Group CEO Amar Kaul said the results reflect disciplined execution amid global trade shifts and input‑cost pressures, with demand driven by grid modernisation, renewable‑energy integration, railway upgrades and electronics manufacturing. The company also commissioned a new extra‑high‑voltage switchgear plant in Nashik, Maharashtra, boosting its EHV circuit‑breaker capacity by 80%.
