CGHS dismisses fake notice regarding Wellness Centre closures

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has dismissed a fake notice claiming that its Wellness Centres would be closed from August 27 to 31, 2026. The unauthorized notice falsely stated that closures were due to the deployment of Medical Officers for NEET-PG examination duties.

The Directorate of CGHS clarified that the notice was neither issued nor authorized by the department. All Wellness Centres will continue to operate according to their prescribed working schedules during that period. The department stated that any necessary deployment of personnel for official duties will be managed through administrative arrangements to ensure there is no disruption of services to beneficiaries.
