CGIL and Fondazione Di Vittorio to host European reform forum

The CGIL and the Fondazione Giuseppe di Vittorio will host an event titled ‘Cambiamo l’Europa. Idee per un progetto’ (Let's Change Europe. Ideas for a Project) on October 12, 2026, at Sapienza Università di Roma.

The meeting aims to discuss the democratic relaunch of the European project. Participants will address concerns regarding the current European institutional framework, which some argue is failing to meet the challenges of the modern era. Discussions will focus on the risks facing the European Pillar of Social Rights and the potential impact of deregulation and simplification proposals, known as ‘Omnibus Packages,’ on social, environmental, and digital sustainability.
