CGIL festival in Forlì focuses on labor rights and safety

The fifth edition of the CGIL provincial festival in Forlì-Cesena is taking place from September 2 to 5 at the Vecchiazzano festival area. The four-day event features debates on labor, safety, economy, welfare, and rights.

A central theme of the festival is workplace safety. On September 4, a session titled ‘Il lavoro non si appalta, Sicurezza, Diritti, Responsabilità’ will focus on prevention and responsibility in the workplace. This session will include the presentation of ‘Crimini della sicurezza’ by author Yuleisy Cruz Lezcano, a book documenting the stories of victims of fatal and serious workplace accidents.

CGIL National General Secretary Maurizio Landini is scheduled to participate, engaging in discussions regarding labor, the economy, and social transformations. Other scheduled topics include the future of Italian manufacturing, regional development in Emilia-Romagna, and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the workforce.
