CGIL Ticino Olona calls for dialogue with Legnano youth

Mario Principe, General Secretary of CGIL Ticino Olona, has issued an appeal to the youth of Legnano following recent protests involving property damage and violence. While explicitly condemning the acts of violence and damage to public property, Principe emphasized the need to distinguish between destructive behavior and the legitimate concerns of students who participated peacefully.

Principe has proposed a direct meeting with a delegation of students and young protesters to listen to their concerns regarding the future without prejudice. The goal is to foster genuine dialogue and prepare for the international student mobilization scheduled for November 20, which coincides with a CGIL general strike. The union has offered to provide a platform for young people to express their ideas and participate actively in upcoming mobilizations.
