CGT reorganizes regional leadership in Argentina

The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) is undergoing leadership restructuring across several Argentine regions. In Tierra del Fuego, new triumvirates have been established in Ushuaia and Río Grande to lead the regional branches. Héctor Daer, the CGT National Secretary of the Interior, participated in these processes, noting that the renewal of these leadership bodies demonstrates unity among organized workers in the southern region.

In Paraná, the CGT Regional is transitioning from a triumvirate to a single-leader model. Jorge “Piry” Ávalos, the general secretary of the Camioneros union in Entre Ríos, has been selected to head the regional central. The formal inauguration of the new leadership structure is expected to take place between late October and early November, overseen by Héctor Daer.
