CGU to implement affirmative action for women in new auditor exam

The Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU) has authorized a new public service exam to fill 60 positions for Federal Auditor of Finance and Control. According to Normative Ordinance 285/2026, signed by Minister Vinícius Marques de Carvalho, the selection process will include an affirmative action measure specifically for women during the correction of discursive exams to promote gender equality.

While the policy is established, the specific criteria, scoring, and operational procedures will be detailed in the upcoming official notice (edital). The selection process will also maintain existing reservation policies for Black, Indigenous, and Quilombola individuals, as well as persons with disabilities. The exam will consist of a single stage featuring both objective and discursive tests.
