Chí Trung discusses retirement income and legacy

Meritorious Artist Chí Trung, a veteran of the Vietnamese stage and former Director of the Youth Theatre of Vietnam, has shared details regarding his life and finances following his retirement in 2022.

After more than 45 years in the profession, Chí Trung receives a monthly state pension of over 12 million VND, which he notes is sufficient for his basic daily living expenses. To fund travel and other personal interests, he continues to accept professional engagements, including film roles, television appearances, hosting programs, and advertisements, provided they are suitable and lawful.

Regarding his personal assets, the artist clarified that while he has several billion VND in savings for emergencies, he does not possess the hundreds of billions VND rumored by some. He emphasized that his greatest legacy from his decades of service at the Youth Theatre is not material wealth or fame, but rather “gratitude.”
