Chabelo bioserie production seeks new distributor after failed streaming deal

The production of the biographical series about the late Mexican comedian and television icon Xavier López, known as ‘Chabelo’, has faced a setback. Producer Xavier López Miranda confirmed that negotiations with a streaming platform to distribute the project did not reach a final agreement.

Despite the change in direction, the production team remains committed to the project. They have spent nearly a year developing scripts and preparing archival material. The team is currently seeking a new distributor to ensure the series reaches the necessary audience. In addition to the biographical series, the project includes plans for an animated series inspired by the character.
