Chacabuco announces new hydraulic infrastructure projects

The Municipality of Chacabuco has announced new hydraulic infrastructure projects following an agreement with the Hydraulic Directorate of the Province of Buenos Aires. Mayor Darío Golía presented these plans alongside the Municipal Technical Undersecretariat, highlighting both upcoming works and completed tasks aimed at optimizing water drainage and preventing flooding during extreme weather events.

Key completed works include the cleaning of major city channels, such as the Solís Avenue canal, the Mojón canal, and the channel crossing the Hipólito Yrigoyen Access via 159th Street. Ongoing efforts include the sanitation of the Juan XXIII Access channel, which is expected to conclude in the coming weeks.

Future projects involve the execution of the 2010 Rural Water Plan. Technical Undersecretary Rodolfo Bertinatto detailed upcoming works along Route 30 toward Los Cuatro Caminos (12 kilometers) and the North Canal (15 kilometers). These efforts are being conducted in coordination with provincial authorities and local producer consortia to manage water runoff.
