Chacabuco Municipality and Electric Cooperative sign LED lighting agreement

The Municipality of Chacabuco and the Cooperativa Eléctrica de Chacabuco have signed an agreement to install LED lighting across 41 new city blocks. The project is funded through the Urban and Social Infrastructure Tax (TIUS).

Mayor Darío Golía stated that this initiative is part of a broader plan to expand street lighting. By the end of 2026 or early 2027, the current administration aims to have covered more than 600 blocks with LED lights. The new installation will be concentrated in a specific quadrant between Acceso Hipólito Yrigoyen and Av. Juan Perón, and Av. Solís to Route No. 7.

Hernán Ibáñez, President of the Electric Cooperative, noted the importance of the work for maintaining labor continuity for the cooperative and its employees.
