Morón Council interpellates Mayor Lucas Ghi over insecurity

The Morón Deliberative Council has approved a decree to interpellate Mayor Lucas Ghi regarding the rising insecurity in the district. The initiative, supported by opposition blocks including La Libertad Avanza, PRO, and the UCR, requires the mayor or a designated representative to appear before the Council within five business days to provide a detailed report on security policies and current crime levels.

The decision follows a recent violent incident in El Palomar, where a man was shot during an attempted robbery near a school. Opposition members have repeatedly requested measures such as improved street lighting, the installation of community alarms, increased video surveillance, and enhanced police and urban guard patrolling to address the community's growing concern.
