Chaco exports 20 tons of goat meat to Oman

The province of Chaco, Argentina, has completed its fourth goat meat shipment of 2026, sending approximately 20 tons of meat to Oman. The shipment, consisting of roughly 1,200 boxes, was dispatched from the Ovechás slaughterhouse in Pampa del Infierno.

The operation integrated production from various regions, including El Impenetrable, Villa Berthet, and Presidencia de la Plaza, primarily through the seven CEDEPROS development centers. The export process involved coordination between the Ovechás slaughterhouse, ARCA, Customs, and SENASA to ensure proper slaughtering, conditioning, and sanitary certification.

This shipment occurs amid a significant expansion in Argentina's goat meat sector. National data from the first seven months of 2026 indicates that goat meat exports saw a foreign currency inflow increase of over 380%, with export volumes rising by 186% and the average value per ton increasing by 68% compared to the previous period.
