Latin American energy and trade sectors see key developments
Various economic and energy developments are occurring across Latin America. In Paraguay, the Instituto Chaqueño de Biotecnología Animal (ICBA) is completing its first export of bovine semen to Argentina, consisting of 4,000 doses from Brahman and Santa Gertrudis breeds.
In Ecuador, EP Petroecuador has awarded contracts for the export of 2.88 million barrels of Oriente and Napo crude to Petrochina International CO. LTD. and Unipec America INC., generating approximately USD 207 million for the state.
In Argentina, the energy sector is seeing significant activity. Neuquén officials are pursuing gas export strategies to Chile and Brazil, noting that existing infrastructure like the Pacific pipeline has significant unused capacity.
