Chaco librarians undergo artificial intelligence training
Approximately 2,500 librarians in the Chaco province of Argentina are participating in a virtual training program titled ‘Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Librarians’. The initiative is part of the Red Aprende program and is organized by the provincial Ministry of Education through the Directorate of the Library Service.
The training is coordinated by specialists Laura Palomino and Alejandro Micalucci from the National Library of Teachers. The program aims to provide concrete tools for integrating AI into daily library operations, updating professional practices to address technological shifts in education, culture, and information access. Claudia Iglesias, director of the Provincial Library Service, noted that the training seeks to place AI at the service of both users and the internal organization of institutions.
