Chaco presents inclusive dentistry model at Argentine Senate

The province of Chaco presented its pioneering model of inclusive dentistry at the Argentine National Senate. During a session organized by Senator Silvana Schneider, officials shared the province's experience in regulating the use of nitrous oxide-oxygen in dental practices.

This legislative initiative aims to modify National Law 17.132 to establish common criteria for the use of nitrous oxide-oxygen across Argentina. Chaco was the first province to regulate this practice through Law 4246-G, which seeks to ensure that fear, pain, and disabilities do not act as barriers to oral healthcare access.

The presentation involved the Chaco Ministry of Health, the Argentine Federation of Colleges of Dentists (FACO), and the Provincial Institute for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (IPRODICH).
