Chaco Security Minister supervises Book Fair safety operations

Chaco Security Minister Hugo Matkovich visited the Domo del Centenario to oversee preventive operations conducted by the Chaco Police and the Provincial Penitentiary Service during the Ibero-American Book Fair.

Matkovich emphasized the importance of coordinated provincial forces in ensuring safe environments for large-scale cultural, recreational, and sporting events. He noted that these operations are part of a broader security policy intended to provide tranquility to both organizers and attendees at major gatherings such as the Biennial and the Book Fair.

Regarding institutional growth, the minister reported that the Chaco Police force has increased from 7,100 to over 8,200 personnel under the current administration. He also announced ongoing recruitment processes to add 200 new officers to the police force and 65 to the Provincial Penitentiary Service.
