Río Grande's Integrated Child Centre Reopened under Governor Melella

Governor Gustavo Melella toured the newly refurbished Centro Infantil Integrado and the adjacent Centro de Desarrollo Infantil in Río Grande, emphasizing the province’s integrated early‑childhood policy that coordinates health, education and welfare services. He stated that the government aims to accompany families from pregnancy through the first five years of a child’s life, providing health checks, stimulation, nutrition and tools for parents. The visit was attended by ministers Lucía Rossi (Well‑being, Citizenship and Justice) and Pablo López Silva (Education) as well as political secretary Federico Giménez.

Director Piermateo of the provincial care centers highlighted that the centre serves children from 45 days to four years, promotes early stimulation and play, and works jointly with the community and families. He noted that the centre’s reopening follows a comprehensive renovation financed at the national level, overcoming earlier delays, and that further strengthening of professional staff and extended hours are planned to broaden services for the local population.
