Chad Gable aims to elevate WWE Intercontinental Championship reign

WWE wrestler Chad Gable expressed his desire to make his Intercontinental Championship reign unique. Since winning the title at SummerSlam in August, Gable has defended the championship against notable opponents such as Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee.

Gable noted that holding the title has allowed him to transition from short “sprint matches” to longer bouts lasting 12 to 15 minutes or more. He stated that these extended matches allow him to demonstrate deeper levels of his capabilities. Furthermore, Gable aims to increase audience investment by ensuring every defense carries high stakes, creating an environment where fans believe a title change could occur at any time.
