Chad Kelly pauses contract talks with Toronto Argonauts

Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly has paused contract extension negotiations with the team. Despite leading the Canadian Football League in passing yards this season with 4,404 yards and 29 touchdowns, Kelly and his agent, Chris Lambiris, have decided to halt discussions to focus on the upcoming playoffs.

Kelly is currently in the final year of a three-year contract worth 1.865 million Canadian dollars. The pause in negotiations comes as the Argonauts prepare for a critical Week 16 matchup against the Edmonton Elks at BMO Field. The Elks enter the game with a 10-3 record, while Toronto holds a 7-6 record as they fight for playoff positioning.
