Chad validates development plan for National Water Laboratory

The Chadian Ministry of Water and Energy has validated a strategic development plan for the National Water Laboratory (LNE) during a workshop held in N’Djamena at the Lake Chad Basin Commission headquarters. The initiative aims to modernize the laboratory's capacity to analyze and monitor water quality amidst growing environmental and demographic pressures.

Officials highlighted that the LNE is a critical instrument for public health and the sustainable management of water resources. The development plan seeks to address challenges such as rapid urbanization and the impacts of climate change on water availability. The workshop received technical and financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (DDC) through the ResEau III Dorsch Impact project.
