Chai Lifeline facilitates community fundraising in Baltimore

The nonprofit organization Chai Lifeline is utilizing its ChaiNation initiative to assist with the logistics of community fundraising efforts in Baltimore. This initiative aims to turn fundraising ideas into actionable events, helping supporters navigate the complexities of organizing charity activities.

Recent local efforts include the 2025 Ohr Feigy Women’s Basketball Tournament, which raised over $10,000 to support families facing illness or crisis. Another local event, “Take Me Out to Simcha,” raised funds through a drawing for Baltimore Orioles game tickets.

Racheli Daniel, director of Chai Lifeline Mid-Atlantic, noted that donations to these local fundraisers are critical because the funds remain within the regional budget to support local services. This local focus allows the organization to expand its ability to provide daily support to families in the Baltimore area during medical crises.
