Chainlink automates tokenized equity dividends across four blockchains

Chainlink has demonstrated an automated workflow for distributing cash dividends for tokenized equities across four different blockchains. Developed for the 2026 Swift Hackathon, the system aims to solve the operational complexities that arise when tokenized securities exist on multiple distributed ledgers.

The demonstration utilized the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) alongside Swift messaging and ISO 20022 standards to coordinate the entire process. This includes the initial corporate action announcement, the determination of ownership positions across chains to create a single canonical record, the calculation of entitlements, and final reconciliation without manual intervention.

To ensure compliance, the system employs an Automated Compliance Engine to verify identity, sanctions, and tax eligibility. Payments can be distributed via stablecoins or tokenized deposits directly to investor wallets on their respective networks, with Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) facilitating asset movement between blockchains when required. Chainlink noted that this model could potentially be adapted for other corporate actions, such as stock splits, rights issues, and redemptions.
