Chainlink Gains Traction as Central Banks Pilot Interoperability Projects

Central banks are experimenting with Chainlink's oracle infrastructure to link disparate payment, settlement and tokenised‑asset systems rather than to replace sovereign currencies. Pilots include a Brazil–Hong Kong collaboration that coordinated payments, trade documents and asset ownership across multiple platforms, and Singapore’s Project Guardian, which demonstrated tokenised funds operating alongside existing banking and fiat‑payment networks. These projects involve institutions such as the Central Bank of Brazil, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Swift and UBS Asset Management and remain controlled pilots without permanent adoption.

The Bank for International Settlements has warned that effective cross‑border digital‑currency interoperability requires reliable coordination between fragmented ledgers. Chainlink offers services aimed at addressing these challenges. In parallel, Chainlink announced a senior solutions architect position to expand its adoption in capital markets, working with major financial institutions and technology partners to design and implement solutions for data, compliance and settlement needs.
