Chainlink launches 24/7 pricing service for tokenized assets

Chainlink has introduced Chainlink 24/7, a new service designed to provide continuous price data for tokenized real-world assets, including stocks, commodities, and funds. The service addresses a critical gap in decentralized finance (DeFi), where blockchain markets operate around the clock while traditional exchanges close on weekends and holidays.

To maintain continuous pricing when traditional markets are closed, the service aggregates quotes from multiple perpetual futures venues. This allows for a continuous reference price that reflects derivatives market activity rather than relying on stale data from closed exchanges. This capability is particularly significant for DeFi protocols that accept tokenized equities as collateral, as it enables the management of liquidation thresholds during non-trading hours.

Aave, a major decentralized finance lending protocol, is the official launch partner. Aave is integrating the service into its institutional lending platform, Horizon, to price tokenized U.S. equities used as collateral. The service officially began providing coverage on October 29, 2026.
