Chainlink launches Fulcrum for institutional financing and automates tokenized equity dividends
Chainlink Labs has introduced Chainlink Fulcrum, an end-to-end solution designed for 24/7 institutional financing and collateral management. The platform aims to bridge public and private blockchains, allowing financial institutions such as banks, asset managers, and hedge funds to access onchain financing and mobilize collateral for intraday needs, including weekends and holidays.
By automating collateral coverage checks and enabling the deployment of idle capital as tokenized real-world assets, the solution seeks to address operational friction and settlement cutoffs. The company noted that significant institutional collateral remains untapped due to these traditional market limitations.
In a separate development, Chainlink showcased a system at the Swift Hackathon designed to automate dividend payments for tokenized equities across multiple blockchains. This solution addresses the complexities of corporate actions—such as dividends, stock splits, and mergers—by ensuring accurate, automated payouts for holders regardless of which blockchain their tokens reside on. This follows Chainlink’s previous success at Swift hackathons, where it focused on compliant cross-border settlement using its Automated Compliance Engine.
