Chajarí school to undergo 454 million peso restoration
The Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure of Entre Ríos has launched a public tender for the restoration of the historic Álvarez Condarco School No. 2 in Chajarí. The project involves an investment of 454 million pesos to address structural deterioration and humidity issues in the building, which dates back to 1911.
The renovation will cover 1,630 square meters and is expected to benefit approximately 550 students. In addition to the primary school, the facility houses the Night School and ESJA No. 43 Ciudad de San Juan. Planned works include waterproofing roofs, repairing masonry and cracks, reconstructing ceilings, and restoring wooden carpentry. New drainage lines will also be installed in the courtyard to prevent water accumulation.
To preserve the building's significant architectural heritage, all interventions will respect its original characteristics. The project has an estimated execution period of 150 days following the awarding of the contract.
