Chaka Khan to receive Classic Soul Honor at 2026 Soul Train Awards

Singer and songwriter Chaka Khan will be honored with the Classic Soul Honor at the 2026 Soul Train Awards. The recognition celebrates her five-decade career and her significant influence on the genres of soul, funk, and R&B.

The award follows a highly successful year for the 73-year-old artist, who recently received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and released her 13th studio album, ‘Chakzilla’. The new album features collaborations with artists including Snoop Dogg, Sia, and Lenny Kravitz.

The Soul Train Awards ceremony is scheduled to air on November 27 on BET and CBS, hosted by Anthony Anderson. This marks the program's return to television following an indefinite hiatus.
