Chalkida inaugurates new music and primary school facilities

New educational facilities have opened in Chalkida, Evia, marking a significant upgrade to local school infrastructure.

The Nikos Skalkotas Music Gymnasium-Lyceum has commenced operations in Nea Artaki. Funded by the Municipality of Chalkida through various development programs, the modern complex integrates general education with music instruction. The facility includes specialized music rooms, a library, a restaurant, sports courts, and accessibility features for persons with disabilities. A supplementary project is underway to complete a 260-seat amphitheater.

Additionally, the 26th Primary School of Chalkida has inaugurated new, modern premises in the Bataria area. This project, funded by the ‘Antonis Tritsis’ development program of the Ministry of Interior, provides ten classrooms, a physics laboratory, a gym, a library, and various specialized rooms. The inauguration was attended by Interior Minister Theodoros Livanios and Mayor Elena Vaka. Future plans for the site include road paving and sidewalk construction.
