Chalkida police arrest two men after hospital theft pursuit

Police in Chalkida arrested two men, aged 35 and 47, following a pursuit on Monday night. The suspects had broken into an abandoned hospital with the intention of stealing materials, specifically targeting external air conditioning units.

After loading two large units onto makeshift carts, the men noticed the police presence and attempted to flee on foot. The chase ended at the Chalkida Municipal Cemetery, where officers apprehended the suspects. Both men are currently in custody and face charges of theft by conspiracy. The stolen air conditioning units were seized as evidence.
