Chalus Road and Tehran-North Freeway face traffic restrictions
Due to heavy traffic congestion, authorities have implemented significant travel restrictions on the Chalus Road and the Tehran-North Freeway in Iran. All vehicle movement from south to north on these routes is prohibited until further notice. To manage the high volume of vehicles traveling from north to south, traffic is being managed as a one-way system to clear the congestion.
Other major routes are also experiencing heavy traffic, including the Haraz axis, the old Rasht-Qazvin road, and the Qazvin-Karaj-Tehran freeway. Additionally, heavy traffic was reported on the Tehran-Savah and Tehran-Shahriar routes.
Weather conditions, including fog in high-altitude northern areas and rain in provinces such as Golestan, Mazandaran, Zanjan, Ardabil, and Gilan, are impacting travel. Police officials have advised drivers to avoid blocked routes and to check the latest traffic updates before starting their journeys.
