Chamari Athapaththu reaches career-best sixth in ICC Women's T20I rankings after Sri Lanka series win

Sri Lanka's women's cricket team defeated Pakistan 2-0 in a T20 International series and 2-1 in the accompanying three‑match ODI series. Captain Chamari Athapaththu scored 39 and 40 runs in the two T20Is, lifting her to a career‑best sixth place in the ICC Women's T20I batting rankings and moving one spot to 31st in the ODI bowling rankings. Teammate Imesha Dulani posted an unbeaten 101 in the first T20I, propelling her 33 places to 23rd in the T20I batting list. Player of the Series Harshitha Samarawickrama accumulated 173 runs in the ODIs, raising her to 13th in the ODI batting rankings. Pakistan players also improved: Muneeba Ali rose to 30th in T20I batting, Shawaal Zulfiqar jumped to 52nd, Gull Feroza to 45th in ODI batting, captain Fatima Sana to 56th, and left‑arm spinner Nashra Sandhu entered the top‑10 of the ODI bowling rankings.
