Chamber of Industry of Greece and Nepal discuss labor cooperation

The Chamber of Industry of Greece (EBEP) met with a high-level delegation from Nepal, led by Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, President of the International Relations & Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD) and Founding President of the Ambassadors Club Nepal.

The discussions focused on establishing a permanent and transparent institutional channel to integrate skilled and semi-skilled Nepalese workers into the Greek labor market. This initiative aims to address urgent labor shortages within Greek enterprises.

Both parties intend to organize a Nepal–Greece Business and Labor Cooperation Roundtable. Key sectors targeted for this collaboration include shipping and maritime services, logistics and transport, tourism and hospitality, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. The Nepalese delegation sought guidance from the Chamber to connect with senior representatives of leading member companies to foster long-term professional relationships.
