Western Balkans business leaders focus on regional market integration
Economic chambers and business leaders in the Western Balkans are focusing on regional market integration and cross-border cooperation. A key panel titled ‘Region without borders: can chambers do what politics cannot?’ is scheduled for October 20, 2026, in Sarajevo as part of the 100 EXPO 2026 conference. The discussion will feature representatives from the chambers of commerce of Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to address trade barriers and the efficiency of regional logistics.
In a related effort to bolster regional ties, the ‘Visit Serbia B2B Networking’ event was held in Zagreb to promote cooperation ahead of EXPO 2027 Belgrade. This specialized world exhibition, themed ‘Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All’, is set to take place from May 15 to August 15, 2027. The event highlights the strong economic ties between Croatia and Serbia, noting that bilateral trade volume reached nearly 2.5 billion euros in 2025, spanning sectors such as tourism, energy, IT, and agriculture.
