Chambley Air Passion Festival Delivers Over 300 Free Flights in France
The nine‑day Chambley Air Passion – Le Ciel en Fête festival transformed the Base de Chambley into a family‑friendly celebration of aviation. Organisers known as the “four musketeers” – Georges, Vincent, Bernard and Didier – aimed to create an accessible, festive event and succeeded, drawing large crowds and high visitor satisfaction.
More than 300 complimentary flights were offered, including hot‑air balloon rides, ULM, airplane, glider and paraglider experiences, allowing many participants to fly for the first time. Additional attractions featured kite‑making workshops, swing‑car circuits, a prestige car exhibition, children’s activities, and food stalls, creating a continuous spectacle for all ages.
Volunteers and local authorities were praised for their dedication, with the organisers thanking state services, emergency crews, security forces, partners, exhibitors and pilots for contributing to the event’s success.
