Chamoli Panchayat by-elections scheduled for October 12

The Uttarakhand State Election Commission has announced the schedule for by-elections in Chamoli to fill vacant positions for Gram Panchayat members, Gram Pradhans, and Kshetra Panchayat members.

According to the schedule released by District Election Officer (Panchayat) Gaurav Kumar, the nomination process will take place on September 30 and October 1. Following the scrutiny of nominations on October 3, candidates may withdraw their names on October 4. Election symbols will be allocated on October 5.

Voting is scheduled for October 12, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the counting of votes to be conducted on October 14. Election officers have been instructed to publish full details regarding vacancies and reservations and to ensure strict compliance with the commission’s guidelines.
