Champion Breweries posts record revenue surge and returns to profit

Champion Breweries Plc reported a dramatic turnaround in the first half of 2025, with gross profit rising 111% and revenue climbing 67% to ₦15.93 billion, driven by stronger demand for its beer and malt products. The company posted a profit after tax of ₦2.29 billion, reversing a loss of ₦386.66 million a year earlier, and improved operating profit to ₦3.86 billion.

At its 50th Annual General Meeting, the board highlighted the 2025 financial year, noting a 43% revenue increase to ₦29.80 billion and a 119% rise in profit after tax to ₦1.79 billion. Shareholders approved a dividend of 7 kobo per share and confirmed the acquisition of a controlling stake in the Bullet brand portfolio, signaling a strategic move into higher‑growth beverage categories.
