Champions League qualifying sees Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade eliminated
The third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League resulted in the elimination of several prominent clubs. Olympiacos, the 2024 Conference League champions, were knocked out after losing 2-1 to NEC Nijmegen following a 0-0 draw in the first leg.
Red Star Belgrade also failed to reach the play-off stage, suffering a 0-2 defeat against Hapoel Beer Sheva, resulting in a 0-3 aggregate loss.
Other successful teams advancing to the play-offs include Olympique Lyonnais, who defeated Sparta Prague 4-2 on aggregate, Bodø/Glimt, who progressed after a 6-5 aggregate victory over Union Saint-Gilloise, Dinamo Zagreb, and Fenerbahçe.
