The UEFA Champions League continues to expand its global influence, reaching a television audience of 1.9 billion during the 2025/26 season. This figure represents the highest viewership levels since the 2017/18 season.

Data from Nielsen Sports indicates a global fanbase exceeding 860 million people, placing the competition on par with the world's major sports leagues. This growth has significantly boosted commercial value, with the average sponsorship agreement now exceeding $50 million annually. Nielsen reports that the media value generated by sponsorships grew between 30% and 40% compared to the previous season.

Digital engagement is also rising, with content from UEFA, participating clubs, and players generating over 1.51 billion social media interactions. Specifically, brand presence on official Instagram and TikTok channels has yielded an average media value of approximately €85,000 per post.
