Chan May - Lang Co faces water shortage for 10,000 households

Over 10,000 households in the Chan May - Lang Co area of Hue are facing severe water shortages due to prolonged heatwaves. The shortage has disrupted daily life for residents and forced some local businesses to temporarily close.

The Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) is experiencing a deficit in supply. Local economic officials report that current water production capacity is approximately 8,500 cubic meters per day, while demand has surged to 12,000 cubic meters per day due to the intense heat.

To provide immediate relief, authorities have deployed water tankers to distribute water to affected villages. Local government and relevant agencies are currently working to identify new water sources and increase supply capacity to resolve the crisis.
