Chancay to host 2026 Chancho al Palo Festival

The 12th edition of the Festival del Chancho al Palo is scheduled to take place in Chancay, Peru, from October 16 to 18, 2026. Held at the Municipal Stadium of Chancay, the event is expected to attract approximately 30,000 visitors.

Rosa Elena Balcázar Guevara, president of the Peruvian Association of Hotels, Restaurants, and Affiliates of Huaral (AHORA-Huaral), announced that the festival will feature 40 gastronomic stands. The celebration aims to promote local culinary traditions and strengthen the cultural identity of the Huaral province. The event is organized in conjunction with the National Day of Chancho al Palo, which is officially recognized in Peru every third Sunday of October.
