Chandauli police seize cannabis worth 1.25 crore rupees

Police in Chandauli intercepted a container and seized approximately 251.2 kilograms of cannabis, valued at roughly 1.25 crore rupees. The drugs were found hidden inside a secret compartment constructed within the container's cabin.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Bajrang Kumar Singh, a resident of Bokaro, Jharkhand, at the scene. During interrogation, the suspect claimed the shipment was arranged by an individual named Mantu Singh to be delivered to Ramnagar. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and investigations are ongoing to identify other participants in the smuggling operation.
