Chandebrito Association reports stray horses causing damage and road risks

The Chandebrito 1807 Association has filed formal complaints with the Guardia Civil and Local Police regarding a group of approximately 10 to 12 horses roaming freely in the Chandebrito area of Nigrán.

According to the association, the animals have repeatedly invaded private properties, causing damage to agricultural crops and fences. The horses are reportedly kept in the Monte Alba area in the parish of Valladares and are allegedly owned by a resident living outside of Chandebrito. Despite previous warnings to the owner over several years, the issue persists.

In addition to property damage, the association highlighted significant road safety risks. The horses frequently occupy narrow public roads, including rúa da Igrexa and the road to A Lapela, which are heavily used by trucks, cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. The association has provided evidence to security forces in hopes of securing urgent measures to prevent accidents and further property destruction.
