During a court‑ordered eviction in Chandigarh’s Sector 42, advocate J.P.S. Chadha opened fire on the property owner with a licensed double‑barrel shotgun. The victim, identified as Rajinder Kaur, was hit in the mouth and suffered a serious facial injury. She was rushed to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), where she remains in critical condition.
