Chandler Riggs to release Resident Evil 7 fan film ‘Biohazard’

Chandler Riggs, known for his role in ‘The Walking Dead’, has written, directed, and starred in a live-action fan film titled ‘Biohazard’, based on the video game Resident Evil 7. The 19-minute short film is scheduled for release on YouTube on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The production focuses on the garage confrontation between the protagonist, Ethan Winters (played by Riggs), and the Jack Baker character, portrayed by Jason Douglas. To achieve a realistic horror atmosphere, the production utilized practical effects, stunt work, and physical sets rather than heavy CGI. A former cigar factory in Tampa Bay was transformed into a set to represent the Baker estate.

Other contributors include Greg Nicotero, who provided equipment for the production, and cast members Mary Rachel Quinn, Eugenie Bondurant, and Sam Coyles. The project was supported by Film Tampa Bay to highlight the region as a film production hub.
