Chandra Kumar Bose criticizes film 'Fauzi' over historical inaccuracies
Chandra Kumar Bose, the grandnephew of Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, has criticized the upcoming film ‘Fauzi’ for allegedly distorting historical facts. He has demanded an apology to the people of India, alleging that the film’s portrayal of Bose’s meeting with Adolf Hitler is inaccurate and demeans the leader's stature.
Chandra Bose argued that while filmmakers have creative liberty, distorting facts regarding national icons is unacceptable. He clarified that Netaji approached Hitler to seek support for India’s independence and dealt with him as an equal rather than a subordinate. He further alleged that the film’s director sensationalized the interaction to create controversy rather than providing proper historical context.
